Creating an Organization

Summary

This guide walks you through the steps to create a new organization and its first member in TriEvents.

Requirements

In order to create an organization, a user will need:

  1. An email address to create the first user.
  2. A bank account to receive funds from ticket sales.
    • You will need the Transit number, Institution number and Account number for setup.
How to Create an Organization
  1. Navigate to TriEvents.ca
    Open your web browser and go to TriEvents.ca to begin the setup process.
  2. Click "Get Started"
    On the TriEvents homepage, click the Get Started button to begin creating your organization.

  3. Click "Create Organization"
    On the authentication page, select Create Organization to begin setting up your organization.

  4. Fill in User Information
    Enter the details to create the first user in your organization:
    • Name: Your full name
    • Email: Your email address
    • Password: A secure password for your account

  5. Fill in Organization Information
    Provide the details to create your organization. Be sure to remember your Organization ID, as it's required to log in.
    • Organization Name: The full name of your organization
    • Organization ID: A unique identifier used for logging in
    • Organization Description: A short summary of your organization’s purpose or activities

  6. Click "Continue"
    Once all required information is entered, click the Continue button to proceed with setting up your organization.
  7. Click "Start Setup"
    Click the Start Setup button to move forward with configuring your organization’s details and settings.

  8. Click "Add information"
    Click the Add Information button to begin the financial onboarding process for your organization.

  9. Create or Login to Stripe account
    A new window will open prompting you to connect with Stripe. This is required to process payments and receive ticket revenue. To proceed:
    • To use an existing Stripe account: Log in with your credentials.
    • To create a new Stripe account: Follow the on-screen instructions to set one up.
  10. Navigate through financial onboarding pages

    Navigate through the financial onboarding pages and provide the required personal and organizational details. Ensure all information is accurate.

     

    On the final page, click Agree and Submit. Once submitted, your organization will be created and you will be redirected to your organization's dashboard.
